I wanted to produce something in the spirit of Roy Wilson, Reg Parlett and the general celebratory nature of British comics. So here it is.
May I wish you all a Christmas of quiet contemplation and sobriety and not drunken debauchery like mine is going to be.

Nice one Brendan....have a happy Christmas ..a sober one of course !!!!!
ReplyDeleteDrunken debauchery?! - go for it
ReplyDeleteCheers, my dears. I am raising a glass of better wine than I usually drink as a toast.
ReplyDeleteYou weren't joking about the drunken debauchery, then. Glad YOU had plenty of water, then . . .
ReplyDeleteIt's called sensible drunkenness. And if it isn't then it ought to be. Drinking industrial amounts of beer and wine will inevitably result in a severe hangover. The forward-thinking toper always has a few glasses of water during the course of the evening. You really ought to see the smug smile on my face.
ReplyDeleteSensible question: whenever I try to write labels for my blog and I use a similar word (say "boredom") a previous one pops up automatically and I can't stop it because whatever I type causes the previous one to upload. Anyone else have this problem? I can't find an answer to it on blogger or google and I'm getting VERY fed up! There's no facility in the settings about it, either.
ReplyDeleteDave, on your Dashboard where it says New Post etc. Click on Settings, then scroll down to Global Settings. Where it says updated editor (or words to that effect), click on the tick box. That may cure it. Other than that keep on typing through the pop-up and use a comma to separate your labels.
ReplyDeleteIt was the using commas etc that caused it to enter the previous labels! Never mind, thanks, I think I've sorted it through trial and (many) errors. I've managed to change the profile size too. Blimey, I'm going to become an expert. In my dreams . . .
